New English Test Rules Announced for Subclass 485 (TR) Graduate Visa, Effective August 2025

Available Test Options: From today onwards, the following tests are accepted to prove your English proficiency for the Subclass 485 (TR) Graduate Visa with three newly added language tests. 

 

Cambridge Advanced test (C1 Advanced) 

International English Language Testing System Academic (IELTS Academic) 

International English Language Testing System General Training (IELTS General Training) 

Canadian English Language Proficiency Index Program General (CELPIP General) 

LANGUAGECERT Academic Test (LANGUAGECERT Academic) 

Michigan English Test (MET) 

Occupational English Test (OET) 

Pearson Test of English Academic (PTE Academic) 

Test of English as a Foreign Language internet-based test (TOEFL iBT). 

 

Test Validity Period: The visa applicant must have achieved the required test score within 1 year before applying for the visa. 

Applicants who have taken their English language test between 7 August 2024 and 6 August 2025 can still use their old test results to apply for Subclass 485 visa applications within right time period.
