The Migration Tasmania Gateway is now open, and it is allowing aspiring migrants to submit a new Registration of Interest (ROI) for the Tasmanian Skilled Migration Program. In which the process is updated and includes the new skilled occupations to provide a broader range of opportunities for qualified professionals to apply for state nomination.

What's New in the Migration Program?

The most notable update is the inclusion of new health and allied health occupations under the Subclass 190 TSE skilled migration pathway. In which, after just six months of employment in Tasmania, qualified professionals in the particular fields will now be eligible for nomination, which simplifies the path to permanent residency.

Key Occupations Added to the Program

The new occupations eligible for the Tasmanian Skilled Migration Program are:

Tasmanian Established Resident Pathway Now Includes Remote Work Eligibility

In addition to the new occupations, there is another significant update to the Tasmanian Skilled Migration Program: The Tasmanian Established Resident Pathway now includes provisions for individuals who are working remotely for employers located outside Tasmania. This expansion allows professionals based in Tasmania to apply for migration, even if their employer is based interstate or overseas.

However, it is important to note that individuals who are working for companies that are outside of Tasmania, but provide services to Tasmanian clients, are not considered remote workers. They will be classified as employees of an established Tasmanian business

New Opportunities Are Awaiting in Tasmania’s Migration Program

The Migration Tasmania Gateway is now open and offers more opportunities for skilled professionals, including remote workers. It has also added new health and allied health occupations in Subclass 190 TSE, which provides expanded pathways for permanent residency to qualified candidates.
