My friend was recently granted a TR-485 visa, valid until Jun 2027. He will be turning 36 in December 2025. Is it ok to apply for extension after 3-4 months of being on current 485? Any risk that the 485 extension visa can override the current 485 visa? Thank you in advance.

Are you asking second post hire education works stream? If yes then you are only eligible to apply for this Visa if you have lived only in a designated regional area for at least two years immediately before applying the second post higher education works stream visa. How your friend will meet this requirement to apply for it now.?

Hi Sir, what time is yr live session is it AUS time 6.30 PM> means India time 2 PM. I have launched 491 visa for NT in July 10 2023 its been 26 months now. I have turned 45 already and I am afraid that time already surpassed and NT is very remote reason also to settle , My profession is IT cloud and network engineer and simultaneously pursuing MA in clinical psychology in India third semester now.

Hi Sir, For the 491 NT Offshore Priority Occupation Stream - I’ve got 2 years’ full-time experience in my nominated occupation and a positive VETASSESS assessment. VETASSESS deducts 1 year for GSM points, so as of now, I can only claim 1 year in SkillSelect (for points purposes only). But will my actual 2 years of work experience still meet NT’s 2-year post-qualification experience requirement? My occupation falls under the NT Offshore Migration List. Thanks!

#australianworkexperience Dear Sir, If I work casual for a minimum of 20 hours per week consistently for one year as a medical laboratory scientist in Australia, can I claim 5 points for the 189, 190, or 491 visa? Is this work experience considered post-study or after skills assessment? If post study experience consider, do i need to assess my experience again for claiming points? Thank you.
