My age is 39 now and PTE is competenet, 12+ years exp in mechanical engineering, points including state nomination 70 (+15 points). can i still be able to PR thru 491 SC? my opinion is tough though, pls give your comments. THanks

You are still eligible and can apply, but 70 points is on the lower end for recent invitations, so getting PR through 491 SC will be difficult unless the occupation's demand changes in your favor or the invitation threshold lowers. Try to increase your points (for example, by improving your English score or through partner points) to boost your chances.
