Dear KRUNAL Sir, I am a PROVISIONALLY REGISTERED PHARMACIST with the AUSTRALIAN PHARMACY COUNCIL actively looking for an INTERNSHIP opportunity. Once I arrive in Australia under a visit visa (SC 600) and look for a 407/482 opportunity, whenever I apply for a position, will I be counted as an ONSHORE or OFFSHORE candidate? Looking forward to hearing from you, sir. Your answer will direct me on the pathway. Thanks

If you arrive in Australia on a Visitor Visa (subclass 600) and then apply for an internship or work visa like 407 or 482, you will be considered an onshore candidate for those visa applications since you will be physically present in Australia at the time of application. This onshore status can provide some advantages in visa processing and eligibility. However, for skilled migration programs, invitation rounds may still differentiate between onshore and offshore EOIs depending on the visa subclass and state requirements. Overall, once in Australia on a visitor visa and applying for sponsorship, you are counted as onshore for those subsequent visa applications.
